Dr. Claudia Giambattistini

Orthodontist

Dr. Giambattistini has a very unique way of making everyone so comfortable. Her warm, friendly, understanding demeanor brings a sense of family to the TGO practice that is rare in such a professional environment. As a long-standing partner in TGO, Dr. Giambattistini also enjoys being surrounded by happy patients with straight, glowing smiles and, like her partner, she dedicates part of her time to teaching.

After graduating from the McGill University Dental School, Dr. Giambattistini completed a one-year multi-residency program at the Royal Victoria Hospital before getting her Orthodontics degree from the University of Toronto. Dr. Giambattistini has been teaching orthodontics at the Dental School at McGill University since 1997 and has been running the orthodontic program at the Royal Victoria Hospital multi-residency program since 2001. She has been on the executive committees of the Montreal Dental Club, the Federation of Dentists of Greater Montreal, the American Association of Orthodontics and the Quebec Association of Orthodontics. In 2004, she received her fellowship from the Royal College of Dental Surgeons and has since been an examiner for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada evaluating graduating orthodontists across Canada. In 2017, Dr. Giambattistini also joined the Cleft Palate Clinic at the Montreal General Hospital to provide orthodontic care to young patients born with various congenital oro-facial malformations including cleft lip and palate.

If that isn’t enough to keep Dr. Giambattistini busy, she also has two wonderful teenagers and loves to take boxing classes and go for a leisurely run in her neighborhood. Most recently, after having participated in the Dancing with the Docs fundraiser in 2013 for the MUHC, she has found tremendous joy in regularly taking dance lessons and participating in a few performances and competitions.

For the future, Dr. Giambattistini hopes to raise two responsible and respectful citizens, enhance the lives of all of her patients and continue to participate in the professional formation of young dentists.
